This construction project involved the complete renovation of an existing restaurant/bar, both interior, and exterior. The interior was gutted and all wall finishes are new, including new brick to emulate old exterior warehouse walls, Amish rough-sawn board and batten walls, and repurposed aged-patinated corrugated metal. The restaurant ceiling features repurposed barn beams from the late 1800s and early 1900s and has a custom concrete bar top that was poured in place and finished with steel and cut timbers from authentic barn beams. A custom hanging liquor rack was constructed from fabricated steel suspended from repurposed douglas fir barn beams. The floors consist of both existing and new concrete polished to a smooth finish and the kitchen remodel included adding new walls and updating the ceiling to comply with all health code requirements. The entire plumbing and electrical systems were upgraded and significantly enhanced with state-of-the-art features. The exterior features new siding, soffit, and fascia, and all lighting fixtures were upgraded to LED. This project won the 2020 Regional Chrysalis Award.
