The client had a passion for cooking and they wanted an industrial themed kitchen that centered around a large Thermador range. Stainless steel was used to craft custom cabinet fronts and a large backsplash. The property owner hand-selected the color blue and decided to make it a prominent color throughout the kitchen. This can be seen in the range knobs and accent pieces in the entire space. The two-toned countertops further add to the elegance of the kitchen.
The homeowners wanted to achieve a timeless traditional look. They decided to select white painted cabinets with a headboard back panel for a high-end look. The home wanted to display family heirlooms on top of the cabinets but didn’t want to deal with the dust that typically collects on upper cabinets. The solution was to build full height upper cabinets that extended to the ceiling, and add lights so that items could be displayed proudly. They chose a rather reserved countertop and decided to let the backsplash serve as their statement piece. The kitchen features a second sink and preparation area complete with a beverage center and on-demand hot water for tea.
